Nelligala temple
This temple is located on a large rock called
Nelligala in the village of Muruthalawa in the Kandy District. This temple is
located at an elevation of 700m above sea level. Most recently, this temple was
built. It was built in 2014, conserving a scrub forest.
My favorite place in this
temple is the statue of God Sumana Saman. This shows God Sumana Saman mounts a
white elephant and looks at Sri Padasthana. This is a sculptural work of
art. This is very delicate work art. I have been looking at this artwork for a
long time.
The dagoba designed here is of a different
shape. It takes the shape of a bubble. It is painted gold. Another specially of
the place is that the statues are painted in gold.
Looking around form this place we can see about half of Sri
Lanka. The sunrise in the morning as well as the sunset in the evening looks
very beautiful.
I also tell
you to definitely go visit this place. Regardless of your religion, visit
the place to see the beauty and value of Sri Lanka. You can humbly proud
of being a Sri Lankan.
Good one .Well done Kavinda..❤
